STORM Project

Integrating Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage in the Mediterranean Region

Project Overview

The STORM project is a collaborative initiative funded by the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, bringing together leading organizations from across the Mediterranean region to advance seasonal thermal energy storage (STES) solutions.

Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage represents a transformative approach to energy management, enabling the storage of thermal energy during periods of abundance (such as summer heat) for use during periods of scarcity (such as winter heating needs). This technology is particularly relevant for the Mediterranean region, where seasonal temperature variations create significant opportunities for energy optimization.

This digital platform serves as the central hub for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation in STES technologies. It provides researchers, policy makers, installers, and other stakeholders with access to cutting-edge tools, comprehensive resources, and a vibrant community dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions.
